Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Your privacy matters to us — especially given the sensitive nature of health information. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. This is a plain-language summary and not legal advice; a full policy should be reviewed by counsel before launch.
What we collect
- Symptom checker responses are not stored. Your answers are scored in your browser and never saved to our servers. If you print a report, that stays with you.
- AI chat messages are processed to generate responses and may be temporarily processed by our AI provider. We do not associate chats with your identity, and we recommend never entering information that personally identifies you.
- Forms you submit (provider applications, story submissions, connection requests) include the information you choose to provide, such as your name and email.
- Basic analytics — anonymous, aggregate usage data to improve the site. We do not sell your data.
Community stories
When you submit a story, we publish only what you approve. Your email address is never displayed publicly. If you opt in to being “open to connect,” other users can send you a message through a relay form — your email is not revealed to them unless you choose to reply.
How we use information
To operate the site, respond to your submissions, process provider certifications, and improve our tools. We use trusted service providers (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, AI) who process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, input validation, rate limiting, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices
You can request deletion of information you've submitted (such as a story) by contacting us. You can use the symptom checker and browse educational content without providing any personal information.
